Marie Ioannou

I completed my studies in Applied Physics at EPFL and just graduated with my PhD in Quantum Information Theory. I am looking forward to apply my strong analytical, statistical and programming skills in Data Analysis.

As a researcher during my PhD I designed cryptographic protocols with quantum mechanics that enable secure communication. The protocols are robust against an adversary possessing a quantum computer. In order to quantify the security of the protocols designed I used convex optimization methods, statistics and quantum mechanics.

I also taught mathematical methods for physicists and quantum mechanics to undergraduate students.

I graduated from EPFL in Applied Physics with a focus on statistical physics and took during my PhD courses in cryptography in the informatics department at the University of Geneva.
