As a Research Assistant at ETH Zürich, I contributed to the development of a visualization tool for heart echocardiogram reports under the guidance of Prof. Joachim Buhmann. During my tenure as a Research Assistant at the University of Zürich, I was involved in developing an EEG-based eye tracker (EEGEyeNet), and I also had the opportunity to work on various projects implementing state-of-the-art deep learning techniques in the fields of Computational Neuroscience and Psychology with Prof. Nicolas Langer's group. I also worked as a Teaching Assistant at ETH Zürich, providing individualized instruction for the "Foundations of Computer Science" course. I also had a practical industry experience as a Working Student at PolyTech in Munich, where I developed analysis tools for sensor systems on wind turbine blades. During my internship at BMW in Munich, I assisted the head of quality management in monitoring the department through data mining and analysis. Lastly, while serving as a Student Assistant at the Technical University of Munich, I facilitated the transfer of content and documents from an old website to a more modern wiki system.
Bildung
Most recently, I conducted a Master's thesis project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on "The Contribution of Prosody to Language Comprehension in Artificial Neural Networks", under the dual supervision of Prof. Evelina Fedorenko (MIT) and Prof. Ryan Cotterell (ETH). This work was part of my Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH), with a major focus on Machine Learning. During this time, I also participated in an exchange program at the University of Edinburgh (UoE), immersing myself in coursework centered around Natural Language Processing (NLP). Prior to that, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from ETH. My thesis, titled "Beyond Left-Right Gaze Prediction with EEG Data," was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Roger Wattenhofer and subsequently published. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). My thesis there revolved around improving the calibration of a fiber optic sensor system for ice detection on wind turbine blades, which was supervised by Prof. Alexander W. Koch.
