Liliana Marques

I'm Liliana Marques and I'm 31 years old, with a Degree in Forensic Sciences and Criminalistics, and a Postgraduate degree in International Studies, with a Master thesis ongoing.

I've been working since 2014, for several banks in Portugal and now I'm looking for new projects in Geneva, where I can grow and share a good working environment.

I’m currently living in Portugal, but I have a residence in Geneva, where I intend to move in the near future.

I'm working for BNP Paribas since 2017, where I started as an Account Manager and in 2018 I moved to the Compliance department. Currently I'm a Senior  Compliance Officer AML/CTF and  I'm also part of the Board of BNP European Works Council.

In Compliance hub, I'm responsible for the autonomous analysis of suspected cases of ML, Tax Evasion, Fraud and TF. I've been working in the scope of AML Correspondent Banking for 2 years, with global visibility on both SWIFT and SEPA transactions, involving individuals, as well as large companies and groups.

I spent 3 years previously dedicated to the scope of AML Domestic Markets where, in addition to analysing suspected cases, I also managed risk sensitivity and KYC due diligence of BNP France clients.

Furthermore, when I joined the bank, I worked for 1 year as an Account Manager, where I also provided customer support to large companies with a special focus on securities custody services. During that time, I also did a Task Force with a Compliance Sanctions team, focused on securities transactions.

Apart from my analyst activities, I also provide training to multiple teams and clients on current topics, under my own investigation, such as: DarkWeb, Criptoworld, WildLife trade, etc…
