My 9+ year experience as an IT technician focused mostly in managing hardware, software and network issues. At my previous position, in a Classification Organization (Hellenic Register of Shipping) of 180 employees, I ensured that the staff in the office maintained hardware performance and network connectivity as well as software support. A few of my achievements are:

• Microsoft Server Maintenance (Active Directory, SQL, Exchange)
• Certification Issuance & Control: MySQL, PHP Assistant Developer and Support (a network based software package being used to produce the Certificates issued by the Organization in full compliance with IMO, EU and Flag States requirements. The software ensures the authenticity of the Certificates by the use of a practically unbreakable encryption algorithm)
• MIS Technical Support System

Additionally, by running my own small retail and wholesale business, I got to work with an ERP system and logistics. I also improved my communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as my management assets. 

In the past few months I decided to make a shift to my career and get involved with data analytics since I find it really intriguing due to the fact that it combines business scenarios with data manipulation. Given my experience as a small business owner I find it crucial for effective decision making. 

I recently attended a course from Big Blue Data Academy with hands-on training in data analytics and practice in Python, PostgreSQL and MS PowerBI .
