Über EDWENA EGYPTIAN QUEEN:

Hello, my name is DoaaElalfy. With a strong background in language, science and translation, I am a dedicated professional looking for new opportunities to apply my expertise. I have spent nine years in academic teaching, developing a passion for knowledge transfer and effective communication. I recently completed my Master's degree summa cum laude in a multidisciplinary field dealing with the fascinating subject of ancient Egyptian medical papyri. This experience allowed me to deepen my research skills, attention to detail and critical thinking skills. In addition to teaching, I worked as a translator at a publishing house in Basel, where I honed my language skills in Arabic, Classical Arabic, English, Ancient Greek and Latin and developed excellent time management skills. My work as a translator benefited from my commitment to producing polished translations and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy. As I am very proficient in Microsoft Word and have a strong interest in academic research, I look forward to applying my skills to new projects. I enjoy working with others and feel comfortable in a diverse and international environment. I look forward to exploring new opportunities that match my passion for languages, research and academic publishing.

In my professional experience I have gained valuable expertise in various fields. For nine years I worked as a pharmacist in pharmaceutical inspection in Egypt. In this capacity, I played a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety and compliance of pharmaceutical products. I conducted rigorous inspections, assessed manufacturing processes and verified compliance. This experience fostered my attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to navigate complex regulations.

Alongside my career in pharmaceutical inspection, I simultaneously pursued my passion for language and communication. I worked as a translator in a publishing house in Basel and specialised in translating texts from Arabic, Classical Arabic, English, Ancient Greek and Latin. This enabled me to develop strong language skills, precision in translation and excellent time management to deliver high quality translations within tight deadlines.

I also have extensive experience in academic teaching, where I created an engaging and inclusive learning environment. This work has enhanced my ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and tailor teaching methods to different audiences. I have developed strong organisational skills and a strong commitment to meeting curriculum objectives.

I also earned a Master's degree in a multidisciplinary subject dealing with the captivating topic of ancient Egyptian medical papyri. Through intensive research and critical analysis, I have deepened my knowledge in this field while honing my research skills and attention to detail. The culmination of my efforts was the award of summa cum laude for my dissertation, reflecting my commitment to academic excellence.

Throughout my professional career, I have always been committed to feminist ideals and supporting marginalised communities. I actively participate in feminist discourse and strive to create inclusive spaces that nurture people from diverse backgrounds.

In summary, I have been a pharmacist specialising in pharmaceutical inspection, a translator with expertise in several languages, an academic teacher and a dedicated researcher. I bring a unique combination of skills including attention to detail, good language skills, effective communication and a commitment to promoting inclusion. "

Bildung

"My main education includes a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, which I obtained in 2002, and a Bachelor's degree in Greek and Latin, which I completed in 2010. These degrees have given me a broad foundation of knowledge and skills needed to succeed in various fields.

Building on my educational background, I completed a Master's degree in Ancient Greek on Egyptian medical papyri, graduating suma cum laude in 2020. This rigorous programme allowed me to immerse myself in the fascinating world of ancient medical texts and deepen my understanding of the practises and knowledge of ancient Egypt. Through independent research, critical analysis and academic excellence, I further honed my research skills and attention to detail.

To expand my cultural and linguistic expertise, I earned a Diploma in Arabic Christian Heritage in 2023. This programme explored the rich heritage of Arabic Christian traditions and deepened my understanding of the historical, theological and cultural aspects involved.

I am currently actively working on my PhD on medical education in ancient Egypt, which I started in 2021 and continue to work on. This PhD programme allows me to combine my passion for ancient history, medical practises and educational methods. Through in-depth research and scholarly investigation, I aim to contribute to the understanding of medical education in ancient Egypt and its relevance to modern educational practise.

In addition to my academic endeavours, I have been actively involved in extracurricular activities and professional development opportunities throughout my education. These experiences have allowed me to cultivate my skills in leadership, teamwork, and effective communication while broadening my perspective in various fields.

In summary, my educational background includes a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, a bachelor's degree in Greek and Latin, a master's degree in Egyptian medical papyri suma cum laude, a diploma in Arabic Christian heritage, and ongoing work on a PhD on medical education in ancient Egypt. Thank you to this extensive training, I have a diverse set of skills, in-depth knowledge in various disciplines and a strong commitment to academic excellence.
