Hello! I am an English Language and Literature graduate with masters in both English Studies and Education. My most recent jobs have been either teaching or in the boarding school environment. 

EXPERIENCE 

 SUMMERS 2014-2018

Volunteering in language immersion courses. These courses were aimed at teaching English to beginners. They covered all the basic concepts of the language, vocabulary, grammar, oral and written expression, etc., and at different levels according to the needs of the participants. The courses were managed and directed by the Galician Government 

SEPTEMBER 2019-MARCH 2020 

English and Spanish language teacher at the academy "Linguas Novas" in Padrón, La Coruña. 

I taught at all levels, from beginners to C1 level within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. I also had the opportunity in this center to teach students of all ages from primary school to university age. The work I did consisted of both exam preparation classes as well as conventional and remedial courses.

AUGUST 2021- MAY 2022

Course coordinator for the preparation of official university entrance English exams at the academy "Let's Speak English" in Santander, Cantabria, where I was also a teacher. The courses are given both face-to-face and on-line. The sessions focus on student participation at all times in order to keep their attention.

AUGUST 2022-PRESENT

Boarding assistant at the Champittet Boarding House. The main purpose of this role is to assist in the smooth and effective running of the Boarding House as directed by the Director of Boarding. During this time I was also responsible for the welfare and progress of all students in my  care. 

The role provides an opportunity for teaching and non-teaching staff to develop a full relationship with students and thus a chance to play a significant role in their overall education – academic, physical and moral – and in doing so give them the opportunity to recognize and develop their talent.
