I have an extensive background in the field of marketing and communications. Thought out the past years, I have held numerous positions in the field of marketing in different industries. I’m a fast learner and like to acquire new skills.

I am enclosing my resume in response to the Social Media & Communications Coordinator post on your website. I believe my job experience, background and education makes me uniquely qualified for this position.

Throughout my career, I have held many positions in the field of marketing and communications in various sectors, which allowed me to compile an extensive set of skills and expertise in the field. I have served as a marketing and communications freelancer on different projects throughout the past few years which allowed me to further expand my skills and knowledge in the ever-changing marketing field. In my last project serving as the Marketing Manager at Creative Kids Centre, I was responsible for creating attractive and educational content for the centre’s social media pages in order to attract parents and increase their children’s participation in the centre’s activities. I also created various written content for different marketing collateral including the website, brochures, proposals and other marketing material.  I also held the position of Marketing and Communications Manager at Aldar Glass. Through this post, I was handling the communication channels of the company, both online and off. I created various Social Media channels for the company and served as the moderator and content creator to these channels. I have also created a basic company website on Wix as well as produced different marketing collateral such as brochures and flyers to serve the company sales and marketing efforts. 

In my position as Social Media Executive at 1000heads in London, I was responsible for managing the clients’ social media presence on various online channels. I prepared weekly content, created copy, editorial calendars and other engaging content in both English and Arabic. I also held daily trends monitoring and engaged followers with relative online conversations to produce shared and engaging content. I worked closely with the graphic design team to ensure appropriate art material is developed for the client to complement the content produced and distrusted online. My work with 1000heads provided me a thorough experience in the field of online and social media marketing. 

Previous to that, I held the position of Marketing and Communications Officer at the Arab Foundations Forum (AFF); a membership association of Grant-making foundations that work/operate in the Arab region. As AFF’s Marketing and Communications officer; I was responsible for conducting all communication related activities to members of the forum while building and maintaining positive relationships with members and peer organizations; to ensure continuous engagement and retention of AFF members and partners.  I represented AFF in international and local conferences and exhibitions as well as organized AFF Annual meetings, members’ platform and other workshops and seminars throughout the year. I also performed regular updates for AFF website and Social Media Channels to ensure latest events information, press releases, pictures and recent programs are reflected online. I also prepared the monthly forum’s newsletter that was distributed online. In addition, I assisted in developing and editing reports to AFF members and donors as well as external reports listing AFF activities and achievements on a quarterly basis. My experience with AFF provided me with the great opportunity of establishing a positive repertoire with local, regional and international foundations in the NGO’s world as I regularly interacted with them at functions and in the office.

I also worked in the hospitality industry in my previous position as Marketing Communications Manager at Grand Hyatt Amman hotel, I was in charge of maintaining the Hyatt hotels Corporate international brand standards in all communications. In addition, I represented the hotel in any media function as well as served as the official spokesperson for the hotel. Furthermore, I developed and implemented the Annual Public Relations Plan that included implementing activities such as drafting press releases, arranging media conferences, CSR gatherings and corporate events. My position with Grand Hyatt Amman served to reinforce my relationship with local and international media organizations and officials as well as enhanced my skills and knowledge in the field of communications.

In closing, I believe I will be an asset to your organization, as I am an extremely passionate individual who is both diligent and thorough. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a great ability to work under pressure.  I enjoy a very positive outlook on life and I am extremely motivated to prove myself in any endeavour. I love learning new skills and always on the lookout for acquiring new skills and experiences.
