About the team you are joining

The Legal Advocacy Workstream is one of the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary (GCCS) department's three Legal Workstreams.

The Legal Advocacy Workstream is responsible for providing legal support to IATA's advocacy activities on behalf of IATA's member airlines and managing the secretariat support of IATA's Legal Advisory Council.

What your day would be like

The Legal Intern works on assigned tasks under the supervision of the Assistant Director Legal Services. The Legal Intern works closely with the lawyers in the Legal Advocacy Workstream.

The Legal Intern is responsible for conducting legal research across multiple jurisdictions on a wide range of issues relating to civil aviation.

The Legal intern is responsible for preparing summaries of legal cases, legislative developments and other legal information and updating IATA legal databases.

The intern is also responsible for assisting with the conduct of meetings and the preparation of minutes.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills;
  • Excellent command of English;
  • Superior written and oral communication skills;
  • Knowledge or experience in data privacy / data protection law is a plus.
  • You are a recent graduate from an accredited university law school with an advanced University degree in law, (LLB, JD, LLM) from an internationally recognized university;
