Purpose of the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Growth Product Manager, Monetization, to join our team at Proton Mail.

As a senior product manager in our organization, you will play a crucial role in accelerating revenue growth from our target audiences via plans, pricing, promotions and conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives.

You will be building both upfront and self-serve monetization user experiences to help our product sell itself and achieve hyper-growth goals.

You will work closely with the cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Engineering and the Leadership Team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies that align with our business objectives.


What you will do

  • Own monetization KPI focused on plans, pricing, and conversion revenue growth, and conversion rate optimization
  • Own monetization product experience: inapp monetization awareness (promotional popups, feature walls, usage triggers, and contextual upsells) as well as pricing and checkout user flows.
  • Define and lead successful promotions campaigns throughout the year, such as Black Friday.
  • Conduct industry research and analysis to identify trends, best practices, customer needs, and competitive landscape related to pricing, plans, and promotions
  • Define and implement pricing structures, localized pricing, introduce new currencies, offers, and valuebased pricing, to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and upsell opportunities.
  • Conduct A/B testing and data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies, promotions, and discounts, and make datadriven recommendations for optimization.
  • Own monetization product experience: inapp monetization awareness (feature walls, free trials, usage triggers, inapp subscriptions, and contextual upsells) as well as pricing and checkout user flows.
  • Expand our reach into B2B by driving a productled sales pipeline: defining PQA, PQL, and work with growth marketing on hand off process to sales
  • Be a partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to build best monetization experience for our customers
  • Use product analytics to understand how our customers use our platform, and help guide decisions on future improvements and optimizations we can make

Job requirements

  • Proven experience as a Growth Product Manager in the SaaS industry, specifically focused on growth, monetization, and pricing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience in defining and implementing pricing structures and packaging strategies
  • Proficiency in conducting A/B testing and utilizing datadriven decisionmaking for optimization.
  • Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and techniques.
  • Excellent crossfunctional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with both B2C and B2B SaaS monetization strategies
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proven experience in conversion copywriting
  • Knowledge of the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in monetization and growth strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage budgets.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA or Reforge certifications are a plus).
