Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution.

Our unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zürich-Oerlikon, is active in the development and production of gas insulated switching systems.

We ensure the high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art development tools and methods. For our Business Unit High Voltage Products in Zürich-Oerlikon we are looking for a Teamlead Secondary Engineering.

In this challenging position you will take over the leadership of a team of technical project managers in close cooperation with our project team in India.

You will provide support in all project phases and lead technical meetings with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

Leading a team of 4 Secondary Engineering Project Managers in Switzerland as well as 5 Secondary Engineering Project Managers in our India Operating Center (virtual team lead)
Overall responsibility for the successful execution of the related project portfolio of LCC (Local Control Cubicle) projects, in all phases from sales handover through engineering, production to handover to service
Responsible for a structured project review and definition of contingency measures
Overall load planning of the project team, optimization of capacity usage as well as managing resources
Initiating, executing and supporting improvement projects based on Lean Six Sigma principles and rollout across functions along the value chain (Continuous Improvement Process)
Close collaboration with other departments such as Sales, Project Management, Operations and Field Services
Willingness to travel (510%)
Reporting to the Head of Secondary Engineering Project Management

Your background

Solid experience in engineering of Secondary Equipment (for example Local control cubicles
LCCs) at level of Lead Engineer
Experience as team lead or functional lead with readiness to take over role as team lead
Proven experience in Project Management, Certification e.g. as PMP is a plus
Fluency in English (German is a plus), any other language is a plus
Experience with SAP and Zuken E3 is an advantage
Good communication and organizational skills and experience in intercultural cooperation
Excellent planning skills and strategic thinking
