    Founded in 1882, Brillantmont International School is one of the oldest boarding schools in Switzerland. Owned by the same family since 1882, Brillantmont creates a home from home for around 80 students averaging 30 different nationalities, coeducational boarding and day, aged 13-18.

    Situated in Lausanne, we benefit from the French speaking cosmopolitan culture and proximity to Milan, Lyon and Paris as well as the Alps. Brillantmont is accredited by the prestigious organisations of CIS and NEASC as well as being a proud founding member of Swiss Learning.

Brillantmont's mission is to provide a supportive family environment which enables our students to discover and develop their passions and talents, building the confidence needed to lead happy, meaningful lives.

    Our core values regarding learning are to develop 21st Century skills and attributes empowering students to develop an awareness of their own learning journey.

    We prepare students for college all over the world through an international curriculum which provides students with either an American High School Diploma or International Advanced Level's through Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). Our co-curricular offerings range from skiing and volleyball to, drama, music and Model United Nations (THIMUN) conference in Singapore and The Hague as well as service learning with Habitat for Humanity.

    We are seeking a creative, dynamic and committed teacher capable of delivering high quality learning to Advanced Level in Economics with either History or Geography. We offer excellent working conditions teaching small classes within well resourced departments. We also offer excellent professional development opportunities as part of a supportive learning community.

    Desired candidates should have:

    • qualified teacher status or equivalent
    • the capacity to teach Economics with History or Geography at IGCSE and A Level
    • the ability to model attributes of confidence, responsibility, innovation, reflection and engagement
    • a commitment to 21st Century learning
    • motivation to be a team player engaging in meaningful collaboration to boost student learning
    • the desire to foster a family atmosphere and intercultural education

    We welcome applications from candidates who wish to undertake boarding duties and / or who are interested in working part-time.

    Exceptional candidates may also wish to apply for a Middle Leadership position as Social Sciences Co-ordinator.
