Result of Service
The Consultant's outputs contributed to the efficient implementation of ASYCUDAWorld in Iraq.

The analysis done and recommendations prepared on the System, Network and Security will create the basis for the procurement and the installation of the hardware needed for the ASYCUDA World deployment in Iraq.

Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the UNCTAD ASYCUDA Project manager in Baghdad, the Consultant will undertake the following duties:

Design and implement network solutions that meet Iraqi customs business needs and technical requirements;
Preparation of a report on the needed ASYCUDAWorld technical environment (system, network and security);
Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls;
Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure reliability and security;
Liaise with Iraqi customs on the ASYCUDAWorld technical environment;
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues as they arise;
Keep up to date with new technologies and best practices in networking;
Provide training to other team members as needed;
Prepare technical documentation and reports as required;
Prepare Training Material and written guidelines for network management.

Qualifications/special skills
A first level degree (Bachelor) in engineering or an equivalent is required
At least seven years of experience with the installation and maintenance of Data Centers and Networks for governmental institutions. Experience with assignments in developing countries and/or transition economies within an international organization.

Languages
Fluent written and oral Arabic is required.
Knowledge of English on a confident level is required.
