    Position Summary

    La Case Foundation is a preschool structure, founded by Nestlé, in partnership with Réseau-L.

    Due to the upcoming departure of our current director, we are looking for a future Director to take her place. This individual will be responsible for managing and leading a private, subsidized daycare center, with 35 employees and a capacity for 98 children.

    A Day in the Life of a Daycare Director

    • Develop the overall daycare strategy: design, implement, manage, supervise, evaluate, and take responsibility for positive pedagogy and institutional values implemented at the daycare center
    • Manage the daycare team: recruit, lead, support, motivate, evaluate childhood professionals, develop a corporate culture, and rally employees around the daycare's specific vision and missions
    • Ensure high-quality care for children and their families
    • Manage budgets: identify funding sources, coordinate grant applications, establish, implement, and monitor budgets, ensure cost control
    • Manage projects: make strategic choices, develop, implement, and lead projects that meet the needs of children, families, and the development of evolving family policy
    • Build relationships with authorities, funders, etc.: work in collaboration with local and cantonal authorities, funders, partner institutions, training schools, and professional associations
    • Ensure overall safety for all daycare users

    Key to Your Success

    • Hold a supplementary training recognized by OAJE in management, at least a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS, or equivalent), and/or a supplementary training at the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS, or equivalent) level
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a director of a pre- and/or after-school structure
    • Familiarity with Vaud legislation on day care
    • Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team
    • Change management experience
    • Experience in supporting families and their specific needs
    • Experience in developing evolving professional profiles
    • Experience in crisis management specific to the field of activity
    • Excellent communication and project management skills
    • Fluency in French and a good level of English (spoken and written)
