We are currently looking to recruit an Actuary into our MS Reinsurance Capital and Performance Modelling team for the Zurich office.

You will be a key member of the team developing and maintaining the Internal Capital Model used for planning and regulatory reporting.


Responsibilities:


  • Playing a key role in the production of Swiss Solvency Test calculations and reporting
  • Contribute to the ORSA and reports to management on business planning impacts on the capital position
  • Undertaking Internal Capital Model runs as requested including preparation of model inputs and collation of model results to help inform and aid strategic business decisions
  • Performing technical analysis towards parameterisation of the Internal Capital Model
  • Supporting the maintenance and development of the Internal Model code and/or any of the surrounding processes
  • Communicating all aspects of modelling analysis to a range of stakeholders, with particular emphasis on the links between modelling and the realworld risk profile
  • Liaise with other functions such as Reserving, Underwriting and Finance on various topics, including business planning and underwriting performance
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis/reporting for FINMA and for the MS&AD Head Office

Profile:


  • Three to five years' experience in an actuarial field, preferably nonlife (re)insurance or actuarial consulting
  • Educational background in mathematics, natural science or any another quantitative discipline
  • Good communicator, keen to liaise with other functions providing valuable model input and/or receiving model output
  • Strong technical and datahandling skills, including programming skills (Python, SQL, R)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English; any other language would be an asset
  • Team spirit, collaborative attitude, strong work ethic, proactive
