The Legal & Regulatory team is responsible for all legal and regulatory matters related to the operations, services and business of SIX.

We closely collaborate with business on day-to-day related matters, create and update contractual templates, negotiate with clients and partners, contribute legal advice in respect of M&A and other transactions, deal with HR and Intellectual Property related topics, manage litigations of the group and act as point of contact for supervisory authorities - all in Switzerland and abroad.

This wide range of legal topics requires members that are open-minded, interested to understand the several business areas of the group, and willing to accept the challenge of regularly leaving one's own comfort zone.

Co-operation with other team members in Zurich, Spain, France and the UK is key for us.


We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join this team as Legal Counsel with main focus on Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Secretary Office.

In this role, you will be mainly responsible to further enhance our close relationship with supervisory authorities, including in particular FINMA and SNB, in all areas of prudential regulation.

Further, you will act as Corporate Secretary of various regulated and unregulated legal entities of the group and in such function be responsible to advise the board of directors on regulatory and legal topics and to ensure proper corporate governance.

You will further act as partner of the business and hence get an in-depth understanding of the strategy of the group, the individual business units and projects envisaged to further develop services of SIX group.


What You Will Do:

- act as point of contact for, and manage discussions with, supervisory authorities; including internal alignment with relevant business, gathering of relevant information and preparing, advising on written answers or submissions in order to ensure internally one voice and common approach
- act as centre of excellence for cross border related regulatory matters
- ensure timely and proper reporting to various supervisory authorities
- act as Corporate Secretary for specific regulated and unregulated legal entities of SIX group
- update and ensure compliance with corporate governance principles within the group


What You Bring:


  • Master of Laws from a Swiss university, attorneyatlaw an advantage
- at least 4 years of relevant experience in regulatory affairs and corporate secretary function
- professional German and English skills, Spanish and French a plus
- proactive working attitude coupled with open mind set and willingness to closely work with the business
- solution oriented approach with strong negotiation skills
