Accountant
for its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil

Basel.

Primary Job Function:

To coordinate Abbott Laboratories GmbH entity accounting and reporting requirements
To coordinate Abbott Laboratories GmbH legal documents

Core Job Responsibilities:

Processing of invoices
Intercompany billing and booking for the different countries

- oversee monthly/annual closing of affiliate books and related report submissions
- other accounting-related reports or special requests

Support the headquarter entity with local statutory accounting matters
Prepare VAT report
Support with IFRR (Impress Fund Reimbursement Request)
Preparation for and managing external/internal audits
Review received legal documents and perform a compliance check
Prepare legal documents as per request (organise legislations / notarizations)
Filing of various legal documents

Position Accountability/Scope:

Responsible for accurate and on time reporting of the legal entity Abbott Finance Company SA and Abbott Laboratories GmbH on monthly and yearly basis, including the overview of the service provider activities, as applicable
Broad interface across business users
Adherence to corporate and local financial policies and controls for assigned entities
Multiple interfaces outside of Basel office

Minimum Education:

Commercial Diploma
Accounting Finance Education

Minimum Experience/Training Required:

5 years in accounting department
Good knowledge of accounting
Good knowledge of Excel
Good SAP knowledge
Attention to details and accuracy
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and towards strict deadlines without losing focus on accuracy and quality of work
Comprehensive verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Experience working in a broader enterprise/crossdivision business unit model preferred
