Your role

The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain a team of specialists which ensures a safe and disruption-free execution of life cycle projects within operational data centers, while taking accountability for the current and next year budget preparation and execution.

This role participates actively in the management, co-ordination, and facilitation of operational technical infrastructure-projects within the country.

By using project and programme management tools the Senior Technical Project Manager will ensure projects are executed to the highest standards, delivered on time, and within the approved budget.

He/she will regularly report project status and business risks to key stakeholders.

The Senior Technical Project Manager will work closely with our suppliers to enhance our relationship and ensure better buying power.

He/she will also provide a standard approach to project structure, documentation, and delivery across the country.

Your profile

Electrical Engineering and / or Mechanical and / or Cooling Engineering or relevant discipline background
Minimum of 5 years proven project management experience in either an M&E, Construction, or critical engineering environment
Proven experience of running multiple, concurrent projects
At least 3 years track record in building strong, successful technical teams
Knowledge of local codes and regulations is a distinct advantage
Ability to assess electrical and mechanical capacity to make informed decisions
Ability to prioritize in complex, fastpaced environment
Possess complete understanding and working knowledge of all infrastructure system operations at the Data Center Facility
Ability to read commercial building blueprints and understand electrical single lines and schematics
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Strong Technical Writing skills and experience; as well as, coordinating, creation of MOP/SOPs for critical facilities equipment, including supporting new systems and researching technical requirements
Commercial awareness
Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation
Expert technical level with broad knowledge of the Data Centre infrastructure
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
Business standard of written and verbal literacy in German and English (both C1 level) as well as above average numeracy skills
