Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution.

The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS).

Our Team is responsible for extensions, retrofits, replacements of own and third-party substations, including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services and troubleshooting.

We are looking for a Project Manager for GIS & GCB.

In this challenging role, you successfully manage the entire end to end process of our projects and you confidently represent the interests of the company towards our customers.

For this challenging opportunity, we are looking for someone, who has a technical background with profound experience in a Project Management position and who is able to plan, manage and control all of the project activities with a hands-on approach and international exposure.

Tasks:

You are responsible for the successful execution of our diverse projects starting with the handover from sales department until the successful completion of site works
After handover of the project you arrange the project team with members from the required disciplines and ensure that each member completes the assigned tasks and work packages according to the project plan which you created
During the project execution, you define and successfully manage all project milestones and ensure the ontime delivery of our products. In case of deviations you proactively initiate the appropriate actions to bring the project back on track
As the first point of contact to the customer you ensure customer satisfaction with your open and proactive communication
With your commercial experience you successfully manage the contract towards the customer and support the selection of suppliers for special products
Your tasks include the management of changes in scope of delivery, track the costs and the active increase of revenue and project margin as well as the reduction of project risks
You are responsible for regular project reporting to management and whenever you see improvement potential in your project or in the general project execution you share your knowledge with the team

requirements:

You combine a technical education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with

- commercial training

Project management certification is highly desired
You have at least 35 years of experience in project management
You are business fluent in English and German. Spanish or French would be an

- asset

To be successful in this job you require excellent communication and organizational skills
Ideally, you have experience in SAP as well as product knowledge in GIS and GCB
