Job Summary:

As Senior Project Engineer Smart Metering Systems in Business Unit Switzerland, you will lead, support, and execute the integration of Landis+Gyr's AMM smart metering solutions into customer environments or Landis+Gyr Cloud SaaS/MaaS solutions. You will establish integration concepts, specifications, and documentation of interfaces, customize software and interface components, set up sample use cases, and verify functions with test cases. You will also prepare and run acceptance tests at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Offering & BID Phase:

• Support and consult sales on software and E2E solution-related questions
• Estimate effort and describe scope for potential smaller projects and service requests
• Review technical acceptance requirements and define feasible technical acceptance cases

Project Implementation Phase:

• Provide technical expertise for clarification of software and E2E solution-related functionality
• Contribute to the specification phase to define scope and implementation according to customer-specific requirements
• Interact with Service Delivery teams to perform software base installations, updates, and patches
• Set up and customize E2E solutions with a focus on software applications
• Ensure timely and quality integration of all necessary interfaces
• Troubleshoot system and interface issues, reporting through Service NOW tool
• Define test plans and create test case descriptions
• Perform system tests according to the test plan for SAT approval
• Support customer in execution of E2E use cases
• Report findings from implementation/pilots to the project team
• Develop project-related technical descriptions
• Conduct on-site project-related handover training and contribute to the handover of the solution to the customer and L1 support

Operation, Maintenance, & Support Phase:

• Troubleshoot system and interface issues.
• Develop, specify, and document integration concepts for change requests
• Ensure the implementation of services in the after-sales phase
• Install and commission necessary software updates, managing system and interface modifications
• Support 1st/2nd level in solving customer/operator requests

Your Profile:

• Extensive experience in metering, measurement, IT, telecommunication, or energy
• Proficient in IT design and programming (SQL/Oracle DB)
• Experience in project implementation and integrating systems
• Leadership experience in a project environment
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in electrical engineering, communications, energy sector, or information technology
• Fluent in English (B2 level); additional customer language is a plus
• Strong analytical, systematic skills and understanding of smart metering use cases
• Knowledge of communication technologies (PLC, 2G/3G/LTE, NBIoT Wireless, etc.) and interface & integration know-how
• Proficient in Windows (Unix) OS Administration and Oracle Database Administration
