CONTEXT & MISSION:


Following the recent acquisition of two new brands, the Travel Retail channel of L'Occitane Group is building its multi brand structure.

In this context, we are looking for a highly motivated Finance Controller to join our Finance team in Geneva.

Working closely with all the operational teams (sales, marketing, customer service), you will be in charge of leading the Budget/Reforecast/Closing processes, bringing all the needed support to the GM and the Finance Director to lead the activity, and conducting ad hoc studies.

This position is based in our Headquarters (Plan-les-Ouates), reporting to our Finance Director.


MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

You will be in charge of the following responsibilities for all the brands of the Group:

  • Manage the Budget and Reforecast process for Travel Retail channels in the respect of the deadlines:
  • Net Sales per client
  • Margin calculation
  • Operating expenses related to the businesses included in the scope (marketing expenses, CAPEX investments, etc.)
  • Presentation to the top Management
  • Manage the monthly closings in the respect of deadlines:
  • Overall review of Actual PnL vs. Budget/Reforecast/LY
  • Accrual review and followup
  • Ensure the relation and the good communication with the accounting department
  • Gross margin and operating profit analysis
  • Perform and communicate to Management monthly analysis of results with variance explanations
  • Support the development of controlling procedures (in cooperation with the Accounting department and operational teams): purchase orders, capex expenditures, rebilling, etc.
  • Maintain the database of clients' information (commercial conditions, currency, etc.)
  • Provide the financial support to commercial and marketing team (expenses followup, margin analysis by sku, negotiation preparation, free products tracking, adhoc requests, etc)
  • Develop, implement, and follow new KPIs
  • Validate ROIs for new point of sales, validate and maintain database for new kits launching

HOW YOU CAN FIT:


  • Master Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
  • 46 years experience in finance roles (financial/business controller)
  • French fluent with very good English knowledge
  • MS office skills with Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage
  • Experience with TM1 Cognos or any equivalent of reporting and forecasting tool is an advantage
  • Good level of autonomy and communication
  • Strong analytical and organization skills, critical thinking
  • Reliable, rigorous, and pragmatic (attention to detail but with a global picture mindset)
  • Business oriented and open mindedness (be able to work with different departments)
