Forming part of the Biotechnology segment at Danaher, we bring together dedicated technical expertise and talent to develop the next generation of life-changing therapeutics.

Since 2017, 6 CAR-T cell therapies have been approved by FDA. These therapies allow for more than 40 to 60% complete response which is more than double alternative treatments. Nevertheless, there is still 20 to 30% failure to infuse a CAR T cell product to the patient.

Automatizing and standardizing CAR T manufacturing workflow will help mitigating many risks that could be responsible for these failures (i.e. contamination, manual handling, repeatability...).

However, scarcity of patient material forced technology development to utilize healthy donor materials during system design and verification testing, enabling design/performances challenges to be missed until late-development validation.


The development of a biological model able to mimic patient blood composition is thus essential to design and develop automated devices/system capable to provide performances realistic enough from a real case scenario.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Join the R&D team and work closely with and interdisciplinary Cell & Gene Therapy product development team.
  • Deep understanding of diseases eligible for CAR T therapies
  • Deep understanding of autologous (manual and automated) CAR T manufacturing processes
  • Development of dynamic biological model capable to mimic blood cell composition of a maximum of disease eligible for a CAR T therapy
  • Participate to development/design of our devices by providing the biological model for testing and validate the model with patient material

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • M.Sc, PhD in cellular biology preferred
  • Experience in cell culture and flow cytometry is required
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to gain buyin for ideas & initiatives
  • Strong desire to create clinical and commercial impact with your research
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, crossfunctional and customerfocused environments
