Alternative asset managers have experienced rapid growth in recent years.

Facing an increasingly competitive environment, managers are transforming business operations to meet growing market demand for impact-focused solutions alongside more traditional financial objectives, leading to a shift in investment mindset amongst market players.

The World Economic Forum seeks to develop a global industry community of alternative market leaders committed to driving positive change through the transformational power of private capital.

Reporting Lines & Interactions

The Community Curator, Alternative Asset Management, will report to the World Economic Forum's Head of Alternative Asset Management.


Internally, this position will coordinate and collaborate closely with business engagement teams, as well as staff working on a broad range of topics and initiatives across the World Economic Forum related to finance, sustainable investing, real estate, infrastructure, health, energy, technology, and innovation.

To support an inclusive growth of the community, the Curator will also partner closely with the Forum's business development and regional teams.

Main responsibilities- Conduct industry and market research of international best practices and global and regional trends across relevant sectors. Lead the development and dissemination of industry specific materials and content linked to stakeholder engagement.

Support thought leadership activities, including co-authoring op-eds and other media publications showcasing innovative examples of industry collaboration and impact.- Establish an active and engaged community of Alternative Asset leaders, with objective to create a global industry coalition committed to maximizing impact across the risk/return continuum and alongside traditional financial goals.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Contribute to the creation and articulation of the industry value proposition toward constituents.- Contribute to programming efforts at key events such World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting and lead the design and execution of year-round industry activities (includes the Investor Dialogue Series, Investors Governors Meetings, cross-industry sessions, etc.).- Collaborate with colleagues and fellows working as part of the Financial and Monetary Systems Platform to identify areas for future focus to strengthening the overall platform's impact and value proposition vis a vis the alternative asset space.


Preferred requirements and experience- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in financial services, investment banking, private equity, management consulting or other investment-focused endeavour.- Strong understanding of private markets, direct investing experience is a plus.- Advanced university degree in a relevant field (Finance, Business Administration or equivalent).- Strong research and analytical capabilities.- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, including a demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently with good presentation skills in one-on-one settings or to larger groups. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills with demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.- Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse teams at all levels.
