Position:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Retail Maintenance Manager goal is to manage small refit store projects and to ensure that store maintenance is kept to the highest quality, based on the guidelines, timing and concepts established by Guess.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage ordinary and extraordinary Maintenance for GUESS stores in European countries through selected providers, respecting quality, budget and timely execution
- Review annually maintenance vendor services, search for new vendors and proactively look for alternatives, organize yearly bids to select companies
- Improve maintenance process to get the best service and most effective resolution of defects, keeping a perfect communication with countries and internal stakeholders
- Keep updated the maintenance tracker database, suggest and contribute to its improvement
- Handle the maintenance budget ensuring costeffectiveness, preparing reports on a quarterly basis
- Manage small refit/wishlist projects based on country requests: arrange simple drawing sets independently or with external design agencies, get approval from stakeholders, collect offers, organize works with construction companies, keeping all stakeholders constantly informed about timeline
- Handle deconstruction in case of store closures: get offers and prepare cost comparisons, manage timeline organizing all works to handover units back to Landlord as per contractual agreements, liasing with Legal, Operations, IT, Store staff etc.
- Arrange reorders of concept elements when requested: furniture, lights, flooring, music systems, lightboxes, ledwalls etc.
- Support Project Managers on Shop in Shop and Franchise projects if needed
- Manage the Retail tracker database for Stores and Shop in Shop
- Collaborate on new initiatives, presentations, reports as per Department requests
Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of (2) years Store or Facility Maintenance/Construction experience with a proven ability to serve a geographic region
- Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering (or equivalent) is highly appreciated
- Excellent organization and project management skills: must be able to confront several tasks with flexibility in order to ensure a smooth project execution regardless of the time constraints
- Proven problemsolving analytical skills with an ability to embrace change enthusiastically
- Proactivity, sense of urgency and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Knowledge of retail design, construction and operations is a plus
- Must be able to work in a team and several other stakeholders (ex: Countries, Corporate, IT, VM, Legal, Real Estate etc.)
- Must be fluent in English and Italian
- Excellent with MS Office, good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
