Summary
This position will be based in the Incyte European HQ (Morges) and reports to the Director Facilities, Europe.


Key Responsibilities
-
EHS Management (50%):


  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures across all Region Europe affiliates in accordance with local, country and EU regulations and industry standards, as well as internal ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) directives.
  • Conduct regular audits, risk assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and identify potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and nearmisses and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Provide regular EHS training and education to employees, contractors and visitors in order to develop a strong EHS culture.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and other relevant stakeholders regarding EHS matters.
  • Monitor and analyze EHS performance data and develop and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Stay uptodate with changes in EHS regulations and industry best practices and ensure the company's compliance with any new requirements.
  • Be an active member of the Region Europe Greencyte project team and act as Subject Matter Expert Advisor for environmental matters.
  • Provide follow up on all ergonomic requests in office settings.
  • Support the implementation of our company's sustainability goals and programs (ESG) by reporting relevant data or key performance indicators.
  • Promote health at work by managing the onsite health professional and any other related activities such as first aid training, vaccines campaign, etc.

Building Technical Team Supervision (50%):

  • Provide technical Facilities services to internal customers by identifying, analyzing and resolving business issues / requests autonomously.
  • Identify services requirements, research alternatives and recommend services or product for procurement.
  • Manage the building technical team, including hiring, training and scheduling and performance management.
  • Oversee the daytoday operations, maintenance and repairs of the administrative building, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security and safety systems.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize the life of the building systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of external contractors and vendors, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to EHS and quality standards.
  • Implement energy efficiency initiatives and monitor energy consumption, identifying opportunities for cost savings and reducing the building's environmental impact.
  • Manage budgets and resources for the building technical team and ensure accurate and timely indicators and KPIs.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities to improve processes and effectiveness according to business needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with key internal customers, business units and colleagues to develop constructive relationships.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably within Facilities management with a focus on building operations and maintenance.
  • Experience in a pharma company and/or multinational is a plus.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of local, country and EU EHS regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Problem solving skills, cando attitude and pragmatic mindset.
  • Able to take initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions.
  • Sound judgment in resolving matters of moderate complexity.
  • High proficiency of Microsoft Office and other EHS relevant software. ARCHIBUS a plus.
  • Fluent in French and English, other European language a plus.
