5 That's the number of focus therapy areas for our Global Drug Development team in Novartis and this position is across all 5 being at the heart of our Global Drug Development organization.

This role will drive technology roadmap for S&G focusing and enabling decision making in the function that directly drives success of Novartis through more effective product roadmaps, market analysis as well as evaluation for acquisitions.

Major responsibilities:

Business partnership, technology roadmap and delivery of capability for the Strategy and Growth function
Enabling S&G function with solutions (like Andromeda) to meet the mission of a holistic view of the innovative medicines portfolio and to provide insights and analysis to inform enterprise portfolio decision making across NIBR, GDD, IMI, IM US
Engagement with the stakeholders in the S&G function to identify technology capability gaps and opportunities in realizing key market focus of the portfolio and competitive intelligence for BD&L
Enabling system capabilities that drive data driven informed decision making from research to the patient
Act as a consultant and advisor providing guidance to improve complex global business processes, products, services, and software through data analysis.
Engage with global senior business leaders and leverage the appropriate DDIT teams and Functions to determine requirements and deliver datadriven recommendations to improve efficiency and add value
Manage internal and external teams as well as the matrixed IT organization to deliver technology capabilities to support and enable the mission of S&G

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

10+ years in business partnering and delivering IT solutions in the pharma industry
5+ years of experience with data flows within a pharma ecosystem with ability to determine sourcing data for holistic decision making, as well as tracing data lineage and ensuring quality
Experience with data driven and visualization solutions sourcing data from across the enterprise
Strong knowledge of the drug development continuum and pharma portfolio
Ability to engage with senior and diverse stakeholders, connecting the dots and influencing roadmaps
Experience working across matrixed functional and IT teams and leading by influence to enable technical capability
Experience in leading cross functional teams
Experience in business process redesign and change management
