Consumer Insights Manager (m/w/d)


In this role, you will be supporting the implementation of the research plan by ensuring timely and relevant delivery of required insights and KPIs, enabling a good and clear communication with the M&S team to capture the key business needs, as well as developing and implementing new strategic frameworks for business performance measurement and identification of new business opportunities.


What will you do - Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute requests for required consumer and trade program research, pro-actively and in an effective manner; Ensure the appropriate tools/methodologies are applied and "nice-to-know" or redundant research is avoided
  • Provide organization with efficient access to company available knowledge and information by means of Reporting Repository, Management Dashboard, existent software and related trainings (where the case) ensuring quality and consistency of the updates required
  • Leverage the results from consumer and trade research studies to add value to the RMC business by revealing new insights about smoker behavior and smoking habits that can evolve into new ideas that helps JTI maintain its competitive edge
  • Utilize available research tools including JTI Tracker studies, Retail Audit data and Ad Hoc studies as key pillars of the role
  • Support with the development and implementation of strategic frameworks and KPI systems
  • Run efficient research using Smoking Lounge platform
  • Connecting the dots between consumer and retail intelligence
  • Manage collaborations with outsourcing suppliers in providing reliable market and consumer data, highquality level of reports and presentations, cost optimization process and performance tracking
  • Managing contracts flow (Legal, Finance, iKnow, signatures); drafting of PR; followup PO's; placing GR's and making sure invoices are timely recorded
  • Providing monthly status report and phasing of expenditures twice/year.

Your Qualifications and Experience:


  • University degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Strategy or Economics. MBA or equivalent educational background might represent a plus
  • 58 years experience within research, analytical and strategic based roles or closely related Marketing functions, preferably within an FMCG environment
  • A detailed understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and SAP, Power BI is a plus
  • Highly skilled analytical and strategical thinker with good communication skills
