The Risk Program Manager reports directly to the Group CRO and is part of the Risk Leadership Team. He supports the risk organisation with expert technical know-how and leads initiatives and projects.

  • Brings expertise and leadingedge theoretical knowledge relevant for Risk Management and provides advice to the whole risk organisation on Economic Valuation, ALM, Risk Analyses, Solvency Capital and general actuarial or quantitative methods.
  • Leads and supports initiatives and multidisciplinary projects in the risk team as thought leader to boost and influence change and innovation.
  • Be an ambassador between risk functions and finance functions.
  • Be a "doer coach" and support the organisation with expertise and handson support.
  • Provides advice to the CRO on technical aspects, e.g. in actuarial or other quantitative related topics
  • Participates in the development of the strategy of the Risk function.
  • Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems that impact the direction of Risk or Risk "products"
**Required experience & competencies: - Proven experience in different areas of Risk management, e.g. Pricing (P&C and L&H), Risk Analysis, ALM, Reserving, Economic Valuationand relevant related areas such as Finance.

  • Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities, particularly the ability to decompose complex risk issues at a strategic level in a (re)insurance company.
  • Proficiency in writing mathematical/technical memos in English and excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders (e.g. at executive or Board level, peers and team colleagues)
  • Team player, open minded and able to work under pressure with multiple assignments and timelines.
  • Strong data and technology affinity for assembling and structuring quantitative information to support the risk function.
  • Excellent software skills related to collaborative and reporting (MS Office suite) tools as well as data visualizations (e.g. Power BI, Tableau). Experience in Python or/and Palantir Foundry is a plus.
  • Global mindset, and appetite for continuous learning and achievements in an international context. Ability to challenge status quo whilst respectfully valuing past achievements and approaches.

Master or PhD in quantitative field
