This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit, formed following Fluence's acquisition of San Francisco-based start-up AMS.

Fluence Digital's IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.


ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director, Global Services Training will drive the Global Training Service business along two fronts. They will lead the effort to externally commercialize industry leading BESS content.

They will additionally ensure efficient delivery of all obligated internal product training through continuous innovation and training product delivery improvement.

As such, this position is key to both Fluence and Customers alike and will interface with internal and external stakeholders regularly.

This position will report to the VP, Global Services.

As the Director, Global Services Training, you will:

  • Own global Training income statement for obligated and new revenue training works
  • Develop and own execution for Training business plan to achieve commercialization of digitized training content globally
  • Partner with regional Sales teams in driving external training revenue to existing and new customers
  • Develop and maintain training ecommerce platform, associated Fluence Academy and LMS support sufficient to provide training services digitally and inperson consulting
  • Lead internal training team to deliver high value technical training presentations, webinars, worksheets, and workshops to internal and external customers.
  • Manage both sides of business proactively and quantitatively through Training business KPI dashboard and metrics.
  • Continually propel Fluence training body of knowledge, procedures, and systems forward through continuous innovation and systematic improvements
  • Perform handson training onsite or at a training facility and include job performance measure evaluations of trainees, as required.
  • Undergraduate degree required with strong preference for technical or graduate degree.
  • Must have experience leading global training teams in fast paced entrepreneurial environments.
  • Must demonstrate strong track record of developing and deploying cutting edge training content through variety of digital mediums.
  • Must possess commercial mindset with ability to identify revenue generating opportunities and customer value creating solutions.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time in support of training schedules.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as followup.

Preferred experience:

  • Experience as an administrator on Learning Management (LMS) platform preferred.
  • Experience using training content editing tools preferred.
  • 10+ years related experience in the renewables, energy storage, or electric utility industry.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to interface with multiple levels of customer organizations.
  • Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and highpressure environment.
  • Requires ability to physically bend, stand, walk, reach, climb ladders/steps, and lift up to 40 lbs.
