Principal Scientist*:

Your responsibilities

Provide key biology expertise and leadership for defined programs throughout discovery and development stages
Identify and design experimental work plans to address program needs at various stages
Participation in scientific review and assessment of potential new and/or existing programs
Design and lead cellbased and molecular biology strategies (e.g., qPCR, CRISPR, shRNA or siRNA, minigene reporters, mutagenesis) for target validation, high and medium throughput screenings, and MoA studies
Review technical publications, articles and abstracts
Summarize/report data, generate presentation and documentation materials, and present work at meetings
Participate in multidisciplinary project team meetings and serve as the key biology representative for defined programs
Work crossfunctionally with the Biology, Chemistry, Preclinical Development, and Platform teams to meet ambitious program and company goals
Effectively lead and manage work conducted at CROs to establish and execute externalized assays and analyse data

Your Profile

Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or related field
Expertise in cancer biology and/or immunology and associated models, cellular assays and molecular databases is highly preferred
Minimum 10 years of combined R&D experience from the biotech/biopharmaceutical industry and worldclass academic institutions with experience gained in drug development team settings
Track record of successful progression of drug development programs from initial drug discovery through preclinical development (experience in smallmolecule development is ideal)
Experience in RNA splicing/RNA biology and RNAbased techniques (such as qRTPCR, RNA FISH, proteinRNA/DNA colocalization, RNA CLIP) are highly desirable
Working knowledge of CRISPRbased cell line generation and iPSC derived human disease models is desirable
Familiarity with next generation sequencing approaches including RNAseq
