    Your role

    Your role as an underwriting intern is to understand the needs of our customers and set an accurate price for our offer. This includes assessing the customer's risk and determining an appropriate annual premium for them, enabling us to cover claim payments as well as all other costs. You will be part of our underwriting team, and will have close contact with the distribution team.

    What you will do

    • Apply our underwriting models and methods to price customers and issue quotes
    • Support our distribution team during underwriting and quoting process
    • Collaborate with our sales team to acquire new enterprise customers
    • Implement improvements to underwriting and pricing models, tools and processes
    • Support analyzing our portfolio data and profitability
    • Work with distribution team on continuously improving the tender and offer management process
    • You will be a sparring partner and supporter for the distribution team for any UW-related questions
    • Collaborate with the distribution team to analyze broker and sales performance KPI, and support the team in the creation of data-driven evaluations for the annual broker and key client meetings

    Requirements

    • You are tech-savvy and excited about new technologies in the insurance space
    • You are excited to explore new data-driven approaches to underwriting
    • You have solid analytical skills to solve complex problems and enable data-driven decisions
    • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work through projects/issues with our partners and customers
    • You are a strong team player attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
    • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in German & good communication verbal and written communication skills in English
