About the Role


We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic and high performing team player excited to strengthen the P&C FP&A and Performance Management team.

In this role, you will be orchestrating the plan process as well as driving performance analytics and projects.

As a Planning and Analysis Manager, you:

  • orchestrate and steer the 3-year plan process that provides the basis for business unit targets and subsequent performance measurement
- use your strong analytical and communication skills to manage a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders involved in the financial plan
- drive a broad range of projects ranging from ad-hoc analyses to longer-term initiatives, often in collaboration with other teams and functions
- gain an in-depth understanding of the performance measures and the technical aspects of risk selection of a (re)insurance company
- provide transparency on the line of business performance and engage with the business to interpret variances to plan and to recommend actions


About the Team
This position is an exciting opportunity to join the P&C Re FP&A and Performance Management team.

The mandate of this team is to drive the financial performance cycle from setting financial KPIs and targets, to performance reviews and insights, to portfolio steering for the BU.

We are acting as the financial partner for the Product Heads, supporting them in all financial and renewal data related topics.


The FP&A and Performance Management team is part of P&C Re Finance and works closely with underwriters, other teams in Finance and the wider Swiss Re organisation.

Our diverse team consists of members based in Zurich, Munich and Bangalore.


About You

  • University degree in finance, business, natural sciences or equivalent
  • Several years of relevant work experience, good knowledge of insurance/reinsurance business and performance drivers
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to prioritise and deliver results within time constraints
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organisation
  • Team player with high degree of personal accountability and ability to work independently
  • Outstanding analytical skills and commercial approach, keen to develop convincing storylines
  • High degree of curiosity and flexibility to thrive in a global and dynamic business environment across all lines of business and regions
