Position:


PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The Product Merchandising Operations Manager supports the Global Director in the commercial merchandising project development of some Apparel lines ensuring product offer is well balanced in terms of sales expectation (to achieve revenue goals and sales targets), image and product value/contents (Brand DNA) and collaborates in all the activities related to the merchandising department, from the creation to the commercialization of the line to the sales force.


CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Merchandising Activities_
  • Be a liaison between the Business Unit and all the involved stakeholders (internal and external) to guarantee and provide all the necessary product tools and product knowhow to properly promote the line and support the sales during the market.
  • Analyze seasonal product and sales performance on a daily basis: analysis of sales data and product performances/product mix cross regions and channels (wholesale, retail, ecom)
  • Participate to the collection costs & margins review and pricing meetings to ensure balance in the offer by category, by price and by delivery, presence of carry over styles and best sellers, meeting style plan objectives.
  • Product line presentation to the Sales Force (following all steps from the organization to the presentation) ensuring the product vision and commercial imperatives are communicated effectively to the internal sales organization and external agent network
  • Cooperate in preparing the seasonal collection line brief & structure ensuring product range meets market needs, long term strategy and growth plans
  • Provide relevant product merchandising recommendations
  • Review the B2B and RTL editing in order to ensure consistency across all the channels
  • Collect from the sales force specific and relevant needs in terms of product offer, potential additions, price requirements and competitors' best practice to improve our service level.
  • Keep updated on market knowledge of Guess Brand, seasonal competitor's analysis and product benchmarking.
  • Build strong relationships on a crossfunctional basis within the organization, ensuring that the commercial and product operations teams work in true partnership to achieve a winning proposition.
  • Professional and clear communication with all cross functions including product developers, buyers, planning, customer service and commercial team.
  • Prepare post sales campaign product analysis and reports.
  • Product Operations Activities_
  • Coordinate, collect, organize, dispatch all the product tools related to the line: lookbook & video/power point presentation, sales book, product trainings, order intake system material, samples set distro and top samples/pictures.
  • Propose and execute Trade Marketing initiatives for both Retail and Wholesale channel
  • Coordinate and followup specific Product Fixtures and Packaging development
  • Support the Business Unit office in all the activities related to the product line in all its phases: pre, during and post sales campaign
  • Support, execute and followup all inseason requests (i.e. lateadd/new opening/rerun styles) with internal buyers and external sales force.

Requirements:


  • Experience: at least 56 years of experience in similar filed
  • Education: University Degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language is mandatory. Any other European language is considered as a plus.
  • Excellent Public speaking skills.
  • Very good understanding of the apparel fashion environment with a focus on Apparel categories.
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently, very flexible when priorities change, problemsolving abilities, organized, detailoriented, able to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good computer skills: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint are mandatory.
  • Availability to travel.
