Your 'day to day'
As a Manager LS Business Planning you will lead the Life Sciences (LS) business planning process with a cost-efficiency mindset, and using digitalization to foster a data-driven strategy definition and monitoring, as well as lead a system driven consolidation of project-based and operational data for the effective and data oriented definition, prioritisation and management of the LS program and project portfolio in-line with PMI strategy.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions. Identify and recommend problemsolving actions on variances and trends, using existing operational and financial reports, and defining/developing new reports aggregating data from financial and portfolio systems
- Foster a costefficiency mindset, by assessing past performance and cost evolution, identifying correlations, trends and rootcause analyses, and recommending potential opportunities for improvements based on data intelligence and simulations
- Find opportunities to improve business processes and systems and develop and deliver plans to implement changes, ensuring compliance to PMI principles and practices
- Act as gatekeeper of the LS structural portfolio integrity across systems, ensuring alignment to updated processes and organizational changes. Be the main reference in LS on implementation/use of ePPM (Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management tool, for the budget aspects), SAP, COUPA, CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management tool), Contract Database, LS portfolio tool and other similar solutions, in partnership with Finance, Procurement, Law, IT
- Conceptualize, codevelop, test and implement LS projectbased and Businessasusual operational reporting systems and dashboards (in alignment to ePPM and financial systems) to support strategic decisionmaking, informing project intake & changes and longterm forecasts. Explore alternatives from fields such as data analysis and machine learning in order to bring more business value to our data
- Conceptualize the LS projectbased and BAU financial reporting systems and dashboards to be developed and implemented by the Finance counterparts to forecast, track and communicate financial performance
- Work closely with "Portfolio&Projects Intelligence" team during upgrades of systems, tools and processes to ensure the integrity of the operational data and system functionalities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field
- Demonstrated Project Management expertise
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details, understanding of business planning concepts for a projectbased organization (budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning), ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with department leaders and senior management. Technical experience in data modeling, data governance, data quality management and systems integration, including experience with data analytics and visualization tools. Ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical teams
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
