Context

The Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and the EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and education.

The mission of the Psy and Migrants Unit is to facilitate access to psychiatric care and ensure its quality for people from migration backgrounds, taking into account their linguistic, cultural, and social specificities.

For professionals in the Psychiatry Department of CHUV, the Psy and Migrants Unit offers telephone or email advice on socio-legal issues related to migration, interpretation, and orientation in the network. The team also provides support through transcultural psychiatric consultations, training, and supervision.

For all professionals in the canton of Vaud who care for migrants in precarious situations with mental health problems, the Psy and Migrants unit offers assistance in navigating the psychiatric network.

Mission

• You ensure welcoming patients over the phone and in person for the unit
• You handle administrative management of patients (admissions, capturing services, updating data)
• You manage medical records maintenance (summon letters, medical reports, various correspondences)
• You handle administrative tasks related to the unit's smooth operation
• Participation in meetings and writing minutes
• You provide administrative support to the cantonal coordinating physician for Migrant Mental Health (meeting organization, agenda establishment, document writing).

Profile

• You have a CFC in commercial work or equivalent training - ideally supplemented with a Medical Secretary Diploma
• You have at least 2 years of experience in independent secretarial work
• You master French perfectly (spoken and written) - knowledge of a foreign language would be a plus
• You have advanced skills in common computer tools - familiarity with institutional computer tools would be a plus
• You have a service-oriented mindset and can integrate into a multidisciplinary team
• You can adapt your communication to different contexts and demonstrate empathy, teamwork, and collaboration
• You are highly flexible and have strong organizational and prioritization skills
• You are already familiar with the structures and operations of Vaud state services
