Associate Director Global Scientific Affairs Immunology:

Role & Function

The Associate Director Global Scientific Affairs Immunology, will be responsible for all aspects of scientific communications for the assigned asset, including strategy, planning and execution of medical/scientific training and education, and support with congress abstracts, presentations, and publications.

The Associate Director will liaise with Medical Affairs colleagues and other cross-functional matrix/regional partners to lead and contribute to the preparation, development, and execution of impactful medical communications that enhance the value of Sobi's innovations for patients, physicians, and external partners


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the scientific communications strategy for assigned asset
  • Contribute to the global publication plan and execution (manuscripts, abstracts, presentations) in partnership with the Immunology Publications Lead, ensuring alignment with the Global Medical & Scientific Affairs and brand strategies
  • Work with the crossfunctional teams and external agencies to define appropriate medical communication solutions to support product/disease area strategy implementation across geographies
  • Support, develop and execute key training needs of the affiliates
  • Lead the development efforts for external medical education and training
  • Contribute to innovative digital/multichannel approaches for the dissemination of medical materials
  • Stay abreast of internal and external developments relevant to the assigned assets
    Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (PhD) and/or certification in scientific medical field (i.e., PharmD) 5+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry (e.g.
, Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications) or in a medical communications agency- Experience in Immunology preferred- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral- Demonstrated presentation and communication skills- Experience in collaboration with, and relationship development of, key external stakeholders- Role model with the highest scientific and ethical standards, working in accordance with applicable rules and regulations- Strong scientific background with ability to analyse, interpret, and present data to diverse target audiences- Strategic thinking- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required- Fluency in English- Other European languages a bonus- Knowledge of Pubstrat an advantage
