The entry point for all commercial careers at Glencore is the Operations Team.

The Operations Team is responsible for the end-to-end execution of physical cargo movements where we identify the most cost-effective way to transport commodities to our customers.

The Operations Team is managing a large variety of tasks that include logistics, contract execution, hedging, risk management, customer relationships, service provider relationships amongst others.

Operators need to be excellent problem solvers, able to think analytically in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. They need to be able to adapt to constantly changing conditions, have great organisational skills and attention to detail.

An open personality with energy and drive, with strong communication and numerical skills will excel in our dynamic and energetic environment.

Operators are required to have daily contact with our Traders, Trade Finance Department, Treasury and Risk Management Department giving them unique access to highly professional experts in their fields.

- has recently completed university
- has a strong interest in the commodity business
- has an open, flexible and team-oriented personality with an interdisciplinary thinking and solution-oriented working attitude
- is fluent in English verbal and written (corporate language), a good understanding of any other language is an asset
- has current Swiss B/C permit or is Swiss/EU passport holder
- energetic self-driven with a positive can-do attitude
- willing to embrace a diversity of tasks and responsibilities
- strives to improve processes and procedures to maximize efficiency
- a team player who is highly detail-focused and process-oriented
- able to display excellent time management and organisational skills
- able to work and communicate with people from various multi-cultural backgrounds inside and outside the Company
